The Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania held its firstacademic year opening fifteen years ago, on the 3rd of October, 2001. Following its accreditation, in spring 2012 the university’s Senate decided to pronounce the anniversary of the first opening ceremony the Day of the University. This year, the celebration was hosted by the Faculty of Economics, Socio-Human Sciences and Engineering, Miercurea Ciuc, and was held in its Big Aula.

The first students graduating the Sapientia University in Miercurea Ciuc had their 10th year reunion at the university on Friday. The first students attending the four profiles exisiting at the time at the Faculty of Miercurea Ciuc of Sapientia University graduated in 2005.
