The Intercultural Confluences Research Centre of the Department of Human Sciences was established in 2008, and its activity is regulated by Senate Decision no. 2012/1348. The members of the research centre are members of the department, while external members include researchers and doctoral students from other departments and institutions. The main research areas are interdisciplinary in nature and focus on literary, linguistic, and cultural interactions, with particular emphasis on imagology, multilingualism, and foreign language teaching.
Objectives of the research centre:
- activity of scientific research in the following domains: literature, linguistics, pedagogy of languages, translation, cultural studies, film and media studies;
- organization of national and international scientific events;
- participation in national and international research projects;
- publication of scientific results.
