Language of the Master’s Program:
First-degree specializations which can be taken into consideration with their total credit value when entering the Master’s training
Humanities: Hungarian-English, English-Hungarian, Romanian-English, English-Romanian, Hungarian-Romanian Language and Literature specializations
Humanities: Translation Studies and Interpreter Training – the combinations of these three languages
Students graduating any other first-degree university training can enroll the Master’s program, if their High School Diploma includes Hungarian language and literature and if they are in possession of C1 type language examination certificate regarding the B language, that is English or Romanian, and at least B2 type language examination certificate (or High School Diploma equivalent) regarding the third (Romanian or English) language.
Those graduated from high school abroad need language examination certificate.
Training professionals capable of efficiently and successfully applying their professional knowledge acquired in the field of translation and interpreting in business life, media, tourism, diplomacy, in the field of international relations, at tender offices, local authorities, institutions and foundations, in developing and maintaining intercultural relations, in cultural and business life in general.
The training is aimed at forming and reinforcing the intercultural attitude and tolerance as well as the non-discriminatory behaviour of the students. At the same time, it makes them capable of recognizing and analysing the connections between cultures and languages.
It develops the students’ writing and presenting skills.
It familiarizes the students with phenomena of multi- trans- and interculturality from the perspective of Humanities and Translation Studies, making them capable of recognizing and analysing the intercultural relations and of optimizing the strategies elaborated for maintaining and enlarging these relations.
The graduates of the Master’s program can continue their studies within doctoral/PhD programs.

The foundation subjects and spheres of knowledge offered within the Master’s programme provide the possibility for the students to deepen their knowledge so far in the branches of science focusing on the three languages, Linguistics and Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication.
