University announced the “Domokos Pál Péter” study grant
The aim of this scholarship programme is to offer financial help for talented but socially disadvantaged students who come from or live in Romania, with Hungarian as their native language, in order to help them finance their university studies.

New study about synthetized compounds with antimicrobian effect
The study of the PhD student Réka-Ştefana Mezey was published in an international journal, in which she describes how she managed to synthesize five new cupreous aromas and their antimicrobial effect was studied by the Department of Bioengineering of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, under the guidance of dr. István Máthé. The research was published in the international journal called Polyhedron.

Studium conference
This year the annual Studium conference of the Department of Social Sciences is organized on December 16, 10 a.m. in the Tutor’s office (room 114B).

Dr. Gundel János will hold the next discours at the Silver Academy
The next Silver Academy lecture will start from 4 p.m. on December 16th, 2015. Dr. János Gundel, the presenter at this lecture, is a professor at Budapest Business School and will give a lecture on healthy diets and modern diets.

We have the winners of this year’s translators’ competition
On December 12th, 2015 the finals for the translators’ competition called “Gúzsba kötve táncolni” (“Dancing while tied”) were held. This was the seventh competition organized by the Department of Human Sciences.

Komyathy Scolarship - results 2015

The minimum requirements of public speaking
Júlia Gyéresi, professor at the University of Arts Tîrgu-Mureș will give a two-day training course on speaking techniques on December 17th and 18th. The training is free of charge. The only condition for participation is for you to be a student at Sapientia.

New scolarship for graduates
